Argo Panoptes, a colossal figure from Greek mythology, was entrusted with the sacred duty of guarding Hera’s revered cow, a symbol of marriage and family.
His name, ‘Panoptes,’ translates to ‘all-seeing,’ a fitting title for a giant blessed with a hundred eyes, each one vigilant over the vast expanse of his domain. Yet, his watchful reign was shattered when Hermes, the cunning messenger of the gods, stealthily snatched the sacred cow away. In a swift act of vengeance, Hermes struck down Argo with a stone, transforming him into a celestial constellation, forever twinkling in the night sky.
